    Hi!

I’ve basically finished with my website, however, there’s one more thing I need to fix.

When a new user registers, they get an activation email, which tells the user to click the link.

After that email, when you activate the account, you get an email from WordPress, with the subject Account Activated, which shows the login details.

I need to change the second email. First, I can’t have WordPress as the sender, I need to change that to my website’s name, in my case Moja Savna.

Second, I don’t want the link to set a new password. I just want it to tell the user their username and to use the password they chose.

Third, the Email is in English. I want to translate it to Slovenian.

    Kind regards

  • Hey,

If you’re familiar with code, you can use the wp_new_user_notification_email filter to customise this email.

Otherwise you might try a plugin like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/bnfw/

    Hi @jameskoster !

Thank you for your reply, I tried the plugin and I think that could be it. However, the test email I just sent to myself still shows that it’s been sent from WordPress, and I don’t see an option to change that in the plugin.

    Kind regards

    Hey,

I haven’t used the plugin myself, but I just installed it to check and it seems you can configure things like the “from name and address”. Here’s a screenshot from the edit notification screen: https://cloudup.com/ia3b7rqrgIK

For more detailed help with the plugin it might be best to post on their support forum. That way you’re more likely to get a response from someone who knows more about the plugin functionality ??

    Hey @jameskoster !

Thank you for your effort. I checked out how I missed that part, but I realised that I didn’t. You get the option that you sent in the screenshot in some of the emails, but when I check for New User Registration – for user, you just get this message: This notification doesn’t support additional email fields due to a limitation in WordPress.

Anyway, I’ve decided that I’ll disable the activation emails all-together. I made an email template for people that register a while ago with Kadence Email Designer.

Once again, there’s a problem again. It’s all set up, but the email isn’t sent to anyone that registers.

    Kind regards

    Ah I see.

Oh no! I’m afraid I’m not familiar with Kadence Email Designer, but it sounds like you’re close to getting this sorted.

I’d recommend posting on their support forum in order to get a response from someone with more expertise with this plugin ??

    Hey @jameskoster !

I already posted it, waiting for the reply. I’ll mark the thread as resolved.

    Have a nice day!
