• Hi there,

I’ve set up a couple of WordPress blogs, and in their RSS feeds, under each of my post’s titles, it shows my name and email. E.g. for bittertonic.com
“by [email protected] (Irene Duma)”. This also shows up in the google blog search.

I can’t figure out how to change this. I just want my First name to show up – not the email.

Any help in directing me to where i can reset this much appreciated.

    Sorry, non-programmer here.

    What’s your “Nickname”?
What’s “Display name publicly as:” set to?

They are both set to Bitter Staff

Looking at your feed, I note that it’s going through Feedburner. I also note that it has this in it:

WordPress feeds do not do this, they use the “the_author()” tag by default, which uses the “Display name publicly as:” setting.

So my bet is that Feedburner is doing this. Perhaps there’s some config you can do at Feedburner, but regardless, you’ll have to fix it through them.

Yup, you were right. Feed burner was doing this. It was in the Smartcast tab, and it overwrote the author.

    Thanks a million.
