Change the colour of a paragraph in homepage

I’m using the Responsive Template – all I want to do is change the coloour of one paragraph of text on the Home page.

Appearance/Editor only gives me access to the base .CSS.

I can see what I want to get at by looking in the Browser’s page source but can’t get at it in WordPress to editi it.
