change the from notification email

    Does WP-Member give me an option to change the WP default “from” notification email address from [email protected] to my own when a user is added or a change in user profile takes place? If not, what plugin would you suggest to do that?

    I tried to do this with a filter documented on the wp beginners website which worked but then messed up the security plugin, so in my case I need to look into that before attempting to do it again. This, from what I saw, is a function of WP and not WP-Members. FWIW.

    My theme developer suggests using this plugin. It was developed by WPForms which I am using. But don’t know what issues may pop up with WP-Members plugin, others, and my email provider. Contacting them all for input first.

    Regardless of what plugin you end up using (or even a non-plugin method), it’s *always* recommended to use an SMTP account for email. It’s far more robust than relying on the web server’s email.

    Thanks. I will look over your non-plugin method first. The wp-mail-smtp plugin author said there are no issues with either WPForms or WP-Members plugins.
