Which component are you using for this? Widget? one of the shortcodes? Knowing that part will help me hunt down possible filters that you could use.

If you want, you can see if you can find the right filter hook here https://badgeos.org/developers/hooks/. The filters list starts about 1/4th of the way down the page, after the action hooks.

From what I can tell on my site, the user sees “points” on badges and the widget. So I would like to change those to something else.
I don’t know how to use filters, but if there is some kind of tutorial, I’m willing to give it a try.
    Thanks!

There is no way to change them all across the entire plugin at the moment. However, I created an issue on GitHub for this. You can see it here https://github.com/opencredit/badgeos/issues/98

Given how many places the word “Points” could display, it’d take a little while to find all instances, with no guarantee that there are any filters. If it can wait a bit longer, i can try scanning it all later tonight.

I spent a few minutes looking through the files, and I wasn’t able to find any filters that would be well suited, except for the gettext filter which would be part of translating WordPress. I have admittedly never done English to English translation of a WP install, but I assume it’s possible. It would give you access to the word “points” in the text that gets displayed to the browser though. Hope this gives you some ideas, otherwise, hopefully a convenient filter will be in a future release.

Thanks for spending your time on this. For the time being, I’ll use badgeOS for achievements and credly for points. I’ll keep an eye on updates to see if I can use the filters in the future.
