  • Hey Bruce!

You can change that header in the plugin’s settings. From your Plugins tab, click the ‘Settings’ link under the MailChimp plugin. From here you should see the option to change the header under ‘Content Options’: https://cl.ly/0t3r0R0a2K1g Once you’ve made your changes, hit the ‘Update subscribe form settings’ button to save them.

Let us know if you have any other questions, and have a good one!

Hello, how can I change the “Email Address” field? I need to have just “Email”.

Also, how can I change the text that shows after people subscribe? (“Enhorabuena! Has sido registrado! Ahora verifica que te ha llegado el correo de confirmación!”)

    Hey Tomy,

    Thanks for posting!

You can edit the ‘Email Address’ field by editing that field in the MailChimp app directly, then updating your form in the plugin’s settings. A specific workflow and screenshot for this is posted in this thread here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/traslate-to-spanish-caption-form?replies=2

As for your second question, there’s currently not a way to modify that text that shows up after people subscribe in the plugin’s settings, but that’s a great idea and I’ve gone ahead and pushed that feedback to our developers on your behalf.

With that said, there is a workaround you can try by editing one of the plugin’s php files directly. However, those changes will be overwritten when you update the plugin, so keep that in mind when making changes.

To get this workaround going, you can go to Plugins > ‘Edit’ link under the MailChimp List subscribe plugin. You should be brought to the mailchimp/mailchimp.php file already. From here, you can use the find function in your browser to locate the text of that success message and replace it with your desired text. Please use caution when editing this file, as any mistake can cause the plugin to not work as expected or have other undesired outcomes ??

Once you’ve made your changes, hit the ‘Update File’ button to save, then test your form. Again, the message will need to be changed again if the plugin is ever updated, and be careful when editing this file.

Thanks again for writing in! Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

IN reference to initial question, there is no “Content Options” under settings in MailChimp Plugin. My theme is Woohoo. Does that matter?

    Hey Mikemack,

Thanks for your reply. The theme shouldn’t make a difference in whether or not those options are available. The ‘Content Options’ header should be located under Plugins > Installed Plugins > the ‘Settings’ link under ‘MailChimp’ plugin. Make sure your plugin has the same name, description, and developer credit as shown in this screenshot here: https://cl.ly/0w2A1h3K2a26

If you are still seeing issues there and it’s the correct plugin, mind replying with a hosted link of a screenshot of it as it appears on that ‘Installed plugins’ page? Please also link to a screenshot of what you’re seeing when you click ‘Settings’ under that plugin, making sure to exclude sensitive information such as the ‘Logged in as’ information in the top corner and perhaps the list name. Here’s a screenshot example of what you should be seeing: https://cl.ly/3j18441B2t41

    Looking forward to hearing back!

    Thanks,
    Garnet
