    Greetings,

Typically, the title shown in the browser tab mirrors the website or page title. Yet, can we use two distinct titles? One for the tab, and another for Google search results?

Wishing you a wonderful day ahead.

    Hello!

I’m afraid this isn’t possible with TSF. The <title> tag is what browsers use and what search engines use to infer the page title as well.

Even if you change it after the page has loaded via custom JavaScript, search engines will pick up on that code, and they may accidentally see it as a sign of spam (cloaking).

That said, Google uses more signals than just the <title> tag to generate title links, such as section header titles, links, and anchors. You can learn more about that here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/title-link. This means that your title tag can differ from what’s shown in Google Search, sometimes disfavorable.

Have a wonderful day, as well ??
