change the white text on white background beside check boxes in comment section.

Help! I’m new and so confused. The text under my comment box (beside the check boxes) is white on a white background. Where it says “notify me of new posts by email” etc. It is not visible and I want to keep my background white. I need this text to be black. I have looked for hours trying to solve this problem. I have Paraxis theme which is a child theme of Oblique.
Anyone? My launch is this Saturday.
