• I want to change the WordPress icon to a different image to represent my multisite network brand (I want to use my own logo). I know that I can simply replace the file at …/wp-content/plugins/gplus-comments/images/icons/wordpress.png with my own file, but it won’t be upgrade proof.

I tried using a CSS inspector to see if the icon was displayed as background image or something similar at it appears that it isn’t (this is me thinking that I can just use a CSS rule in my child theme to redirect to different image).

I’m not seeing it yet, but is there an upgrade-friendly way to replace the WordPress icon?

  • you can change the icon(s) by logging into your cpanel and navigating to the comments evolved plugin folder. Go into the images folder and upload your preferred image(s). For simplicity, name your new icon(s) the exact same file name as the old one(s). I’m still, however, trying to figure out how to resize the icons. I’ve tinkered around with my icon set which you can view on my political blog.
