I want to change the background of the envirashop theme I am using here: PaidToLiveClothing.com

The theme comes with a layered .PSD file and the author says you can use this file to change the background. I altered the .PSD file’s background, but I don’t know how to get it to show up on the website! Can anyone instruct me on what to do? Thanks!

The file also comes with .jpg files, and I have tried to alter them as well, but with no luck. I have not modified any code. Maybe this is my problem, but I don’t know what to modify.

  • I would think you would just modify the background layer in the psd. Save that layer for web as a jpg (or whatever format it is in your theme) with the same name as in your theme

delete the image that is in your theme on your server and uplaod the new image

That’s what I did but it didn’t work.

I’m also trying to change my envirashop background, and think I have done all of the above steps, but no success. Am confused about the instruction to save the new background layer for web — how exactly does one do that? I know how to save the whole doc for web, but not sure about doing this for a layer without isolating it from the rest of the PSD file…

Never mind, got it sorted out!
