    Hi gorilla,

This is not possible by using the built in functions however it would be possible by creating and add-on or tapping into filters in your theme’s functions.php file.

    For the developer docs see

    Hope this helps

This would be a hugely useful / vital feature. Search optimised URLs can be relatively long – editing the main menu name resolves this up top – leaving the search optimised URL intact but presenting a user friendly name in the menu.

The fact that ASM cannot do this means either search optimised links or the plugin cannot be used on most of my projects right now.

The link above is not much help for me. As a designer I’ll need step by step tutorials and some cut and paste examples – do you have a link for anything like this?

    Thanks.

an idea of what these filters do would help – is there one that will achieve what we need (if so which).

    Many thanks.
