Hey RankMath! I am developer using the ‘rank_math/opengraph/facebook/image’ filter for MightyShare and notice a new update has changed how it functions. It seems the filter requires images to return urls with a .jpg extension and strips query strings. Is this intentional or a bug? our plugin uses query strings to generate social images for users so it kind of ruins our functionality. Additionally if there is a different filter I should be using just let me know!

    Thank you!

Follow up, I see lines 243 in opengraph/class-image.php cause this. It seems to explode the URL set (so ? is basically removed) and checks if the url is ‘valid’. Really odd change.

    Hello @someguy9,

    Thank you for contacting support.

Our developers made a change recently to fix a fatal error that was being thrown when someone used a string or non-compatible attachment with that filter: https://github.com/rankmath/seo-by-rank-math/issues/130

You could try reverting that change in the plugin and see if that helps in your particular use case.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
