Change to Spotify for Podcasting issues?

    Thanks for your plugin which has been working perfectly until the change from Anchor.fm to Spotify for Podcasting.

    I upload episodes weekly. It was fine after my upload on 19th March, but after 26th March (yesterday) I can no longer select a different episode to play from the index (index is still fine in Spotify itself).

    The reason I think it is related to the change from Anchor.fm is that on the day the change was announced we got a Cookie dialog crammed into the current selection in the plugin. That was annoying but after clicking Accept once it seemed to go away (although it is not obvious to users that you have to scroll down to get to an Accept button).

    Thank you for the kind words and for sending this issue through. I wasn’t aware of this change to Anchor.fm.

    I can confirm that you are right. There is a redirect that’s happening which changes the url for the embed to podcasters.spot instead of anchor.fm.

    Strangely this doesn’t occur with other podcasts I tested on. Maybe they are rolling it out gradually for different countries.
    I think the solution for now will be to have the plugin check for a redirect at the embed URL and if there is one, build a podcasters.spot URL and permanently use it from then on forth.

    I will roll that out ASAP. Definitely don’t want this to affect a lot of users!

    Thanks for the quick response.

    We will ask our web site creator/maintainer to update.

    So, I have the podcast displaying, but it only displays the latest episode, not several like before the Spotify change.
