    I use your plugin almost daily on a large series of virtual event sites and it’s great. On almost every site, we are adding new users. We maintain the same spreadsheet offline and simply add to it new users. So when it comes time to import, we have to change the “Update existing users” to No because otherwise, existing users’ data would revert back to their original, including passwords, if we did not change the “Update Existing Users” option. (I have accidentally forgotten to change it one and it was a big mess to sort through as dozens’s of existing users data was changed back)

    I would ask to consider changing the default state of the “Update Existing Users” to “No”. In regards to UI/UX design, it’s the safer option. It’d be safer to forget to change it to yes if you need to, rather than forgetting to change it when you didn’t need to. In other words, the chances of actually needing to update existing users is way far less than the need to simply add new users and not update existing ones.

    Thank you,
    Blake

    @blakemiller,

    We are preparing a settings API for the plugin to make it easier: what you choose is saved and it is applied in next times.

    We have not it already prepared but I expect having it ready soon.

    Please stay tuned and you will get it solved.
