    Hello,

When enabling “User Explanation” for an answer, it is possible to edit the prompt that appears on the survey? By default, it shows “You can enter your answer explanation.” It would be helpful if we can change that.

    Dear @herky-fishbine,

    Thank you for your topic.

I want to mention that our plugin is developed fully translatable.
You need to make use of the Loco Translate plugin or Poedit app to make the translation.

Here are the useful links for you:

For your specific situation, I can guide you through the steps:

Navigate to Loco Translate > Plugins.
Search for the “Survey Maker” plugin and select the language “English”.
A new page will open displaying a “Source text” block and a search box above it.

Search for the text “You can enter your answer explanation” and click on it when you find it.
At the bottom of the page, locate the box labeled “English (United States) translation:”.
In the placeholder provided, you can enter your custom text.

    See the screenshot below:

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for the fast reply. I had thought of translating, but the limitation is that it then translates that for all surveys. Let me give you an example.

Perhaps the question is a radio button that asks: “Are you bringing food?”

Instead of “You can enter your answer explanation,” the prompt should be “What will you be bringing?”

But if I just translate, then “What will you be bringing?” will appear on all forms where an explanation is requested and where “What will you be bringing?” is not appropriate.

I appreciate your plugin and the progress you continue to make to improve it. It really is great. This might be something you will think about allowing the administrator to modify directly for each question in the future.

    Keep up the good work!

    Dear @herky-fishbine,

    Thank you for your reply.

If we understand your request correctly, in this case, you can use the “Short Text” or “Paragraph” type questions, as these allow for customizable placeholder text for answers.

Please refer to the screenshot below for clarification:

We appreciate your suggestion and will forward it to our Project Management team.
We will inform you once a decision has been made regarding the addition of this feature.

Let us know if you have more questions.

    Thank you.
