    Hello!

I recently downloaded your plugin and have created 2 new user roles. However I have an issue. If I go to any of my already existing user roles in wordpress and try to change their role to one of the new ones, I get this error saying “a critical error has occured on the website, check the web administrator’s email for further instructions”.

But in the email I get there is not much info.

Any idea why this is occuring? Is it not possible to change user roles?

    Best regards,

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @isabella92,

Thank you for reaching out Mmebers Support Team. I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble changing user roles with our Members plugin. Let’s try a few steps to solve this issue:

    1. Check for Conflicting Plugins:?Deactivate other plugins temporarily to see if they’re causing the problem. Reactivate them one-by-one to find any conflicts.
    2. Try a Different Theme:?Switch to a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Twenty-One, to see if your current theme is causing the issue.
    3. Contact Hosting Support for Logs:?Ask your web host for help accessing the error logs. These logs might provide more information on what’s going wrong.
    4. Ensure Everything is Up to Date:?Make sure WordPress, the Members plugin, your theme, and all other plugins are current.
    5. Verify PHP Version:?Check that your server is running PHP 7.4 or higher.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please let me know or provide any error details from the logs. We’re here to help!

    Best regards,
