    Is it possible to change the user role to ’employer’ only when the user submit a listing?
    In my site, registered user without any job listing are assigned as ‘subscriber..

    It does’t seem it’s possible without writing PHP code.

    Hello,

    You can change in WordPress Settings the defult role for registration users.

    Settings -> General

    “The default role of new users” and there you can set for “Employer” ??

    I hope that you meant it.

    Hi!

    It’s not clear what you’re asking, because what you describe is the behaviour you should be seeing. “Regular” registered users will be given “Subscriber” by default by WordPress (but that can be changed, as kibus90 mentioned), and someone who submits a job listing will be given the “Employer” role by the WPJM plugin. So, what exactly is the problem?

    Sorry about confusion, let me try to explain more in details.

    Your flow is only true for users who register and submit listing at the same time, i.e. where “Enable account creation during submission” is checked under Settings-Submission.

    In my site, only logged in users (Subscriber) are allowed to submit a listing. And when a subscriber submits a listing, his role remains as Subscriber and never promoted to Employer.

    I want an automatic way to change the user role once a user submit a listing (even before admin approval).

    Ah, I understand now! Well, that isn’t possible with WPJM out of the box; it would require some custom code to achieve it, and we aren’t able to help with custom code requests like this.

    You may want to look into one of these services for help:
