I was trying to change the size of an image in the footer. I believe I was in theme functions.php As soon as I changed it, and updated it, the whole site became inaccessible. I can’t even access the wordpress dashboard for the site. I know what I changed, and what to change it back to, but I can’t even access it to change the code! Help!!!

    – did you make backup of functions.php before tweaking it? yes? the, upload that copy.

    – If you don’t have backup, then try undoing all your changes

Ok but where do I upload it to?

You said you made changes to it. After making changes where did you upload it?

I made changes to it in the wordpress editor. I hit update, and the whole page went white.

It should be in your currently active theme’s folder

And where would that be located exactly? Just to be clear I can’t even edit my website through wordpress, the whole site is down.

Since you have no access to sdmin, use FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

And where would that be located exactly?

    /wp-content/themes/your theme/functions.php
