• Hi,

    I have moved 2 websites to a new host, which required me to change the name of the databases. The site that uses Tempera is reset and all the changes I have made to the home page settings are reverted.

    I can see the posts in admin panel, so the database import and file import has happened properly.

    My guess is this has happened because of changing database name.
    If not, is it possible because of missing files? Based on what I’m seeing, all files are in place.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thank you.

    I think the theme settings should be save either in files or database, I have the files in place and database imported, but still the theme is reset and not working.

    Sorry, but this is very disappointing, and there is no support.

    Go to Appearance – Tempera Settings once logged into the old site dashboard. Halfway down the the page on the right is a button to export theme options. Click this and save the document. Then, go to the new site dashboard – Appearance – Tempera settings. This time, import the theme options. The site should change from the base settings to your customized settings.
    When you follow the steps to move a site, Tempera customized settings may not activate. The files and database information do transfer. The customized setting can be found in the database. There must be some value in the table needed to be changed to load the settings instead of using the default settings. I have encountered this on a number of site transfers using Tempera template.

    @enjoy Hikes,

    Thank you very much, but I re-customized it. I saw that export/import option in the new site, when I had lost my access to the previous web host, so I couldn’t take advantage of it.

    Thanks again.

    maroonedsia, the settings should not be affected by the move in any way unless you also change the domain name / URL WordPress sees itself at (even adding/removing www. from the URL matters).
    Is this the case?
