• I created my new site on a testing server, then followed the steps below to make it go live:

Created the new site with permalinks set to the post name.
On the new server, created redirects from the old pages to the new pages. (Used a Redirect Plub-In to do this).
Changed the internal hyperlinks to reflect the actual domain of the new site rather than the temporary one.
Changed the home and site URL in WordPress for the actual domain name to prepare for going live.
Change the DNS to point to the new site.

I changed the DNS settings yesterday. Having some trouble now accessing certain aspects of the control panel, even though the site itself seems to be live. I can get to the control panel, but when I try to go into some of the items in the menu I get a 404 error. Is it normal for some areas to lag behind other areas when doing a DNS change?
