Changed domain, cant login to admin

  • I was almost finished setting up a new website, and decided it would be better to use a more user-friendly domain. I changed it on the General Settings page of the theme, then realized that was probably not the right thing to do, so left the page. I didn’t think I had saved it, but must have, because now I can’t get to the site at all. When I login to the admin page using the original domain, I get a 404 error. When I try to login from the internet, it says page not found. The new domain name doesn’t work either. I’m not a programmer or developer, so I have no idea how to fix this dumb mistake! I would hate to lose all the work I’ve already put into it. How can I get back to where I need to be?

    Thank you for the quick response! I just read through the information in the link and have to say, it’s a little overwhelming for a non-tech person. I’m going to back up the files, and see if I can figure out how to do this. Thanks again.
