Changed general settings – lost access to dashboard

Hi,

I’ve just installed wordpress using a database on a sub-domain of my main domain domain name (not sure why, my host told me this was the best thing to do) and was in general settings trying to point the sub-domain at the main domain. So I changed the wordpress address to https://www.”sub domain”.com/”the folder I installed it in” and the blog address to https://www.”domain”.com.

Now I get a 404 error message when I type in the wordpress address or the admin address and a link to my host when I type in my blog address that says my domain has been recently purchased.

When I just type the sub-domain on its own without extension, I get a link to the blog in a basic html format.

What on earth have I done and how do I find the dashboard again so I can fix it!
