I am sorry this is probably a really stupid question. I was with Siteground for hosting, they were great, but couldn’t afford to renew. So decided to change to Ionos. I asked them what to do, I followed their instructions on how to migrate the domain and website. Migrated the domain, now the website has disappeared and when I asked them what to do, they said to ask www.ads-software.com.

Stunned to put it mildly, but I now need to know what to do. Is the website gone for good please? I built it myself with Divi Builder, so can rebuild it, but it will take me a long time to do it again, as I am a novice at this.

Any help would be gratefully received and sorry for being a donkey, I know I should have probably done more research first, everyday is a learning day! Many thanks.

    Hello barders,
It seems that your domain is connected with Ionos but wordpress website has not been migrated yet.
I suggest you to follow this article
    https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/hosting/blogs/wordpress-migration-tips-for-server-migration/

If you are facing issue yet, then you need to contact with developer who can give you proper support.

    Thank you.

Hi Abdul, thank you for getting back to me. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do to follow those instructions, as I don’t have access to the WordPress Dashboard, as the whole website has completely disappeared! I am trying to find a way of recovering it from wherever it went!

On my Siteground Dashboard the nameservers are blank for wildross.org, so it isn’t still with them and Ionos don’t have a clue, and they are ones that told me to just migrate the domain and then sort the DNS for the website out!

Thanks again for trying to help. :0)

    Hi barder,

If you have a backup of your website, you can restore it to your new hosting account. If you don’t have a backup, you can reach out to Siteground support to see if they have a backup of your website that you can restore.

Websites can be recovered, and IONOS’s support team should be able to assist you further in resolving the issue. Good luck!

Hi Aniekan, thank you, that is really helpful, I will have a look at both of those options. I feel bad asking Siteground for help, but need to try and get myself out of this predicament! Thanks again, I appreciate your help.
