• I attempted to change the Site Address (URL) (which I know it tells you not to do), but the site has become totally unresponsive. I can’t login to fix the issue nor can I see anything on the site (https://selfdefensecenters.com/root).

I did update the config.php and functions.php to try to change the URLs back (as is prescribed here, but the site is still a blank page.

    Can anyone help me?

Thanks WPyogi – I’ve followed most of those. I did edit the config and functions files. However, I am still getting a blank page. Do you have any other suggestions?

Those methods should work – I personally think the functions.php file method works well – are you using FTP to access the files on the server?

Yes, I am using an FTP. I had a question on that. I have a file called functions.php in the wp-includes file. Is that the one I edit, or do I need an index.php file in the wp-content/themes folder?

No, you need to use the functions.php file in your active theme –

    1. FTP to the site, and get a copy of the active theme’s functions.php file. You’re going to edit it in a simple text editor (like notepad) and upload it back to the site.
