Changed the URL in General Settings Prematurely

    In a feeble attempt to create a new wordpress site using the content from an existing one, I neglected to copy or save the existing posts and media. I know, I know – I’m hoping the ole adage ‘you can’t fix stupid’ is not the final answer here….
    I already changed the URL in General Settings to point to the new domain and now I can’t get to the content on the existing wordpress site (which I will eventually be deleting) to create the new one. Is there any way I can get to the content of existing site and fix this. I’m not a developer or coder so is there an easier answer than adding lines of code which would take this gal over the edge and possibly cause irreparable damage to anything in the vicinity. Host is GoDaddy. When I attempt a logon to existing site, I am redirected to new site.
