• I have a few questions relating to HTTPS. I changed my site to HTTPS using Lets Encrypt and found that the Contact Form 7 that I used fails to send me emails any more.

Then when I changed back to HTTP, I found that I got locked out of my WP Admin (due to changing the URL pathway to HTTPS earlier). And I could not log back in to change it back again to HTTP.

So I hardcoded the URL into the WP-Config file and then could log in again.

But now, the Contact Form 7 does not work any more, even though I removed the SSL and defined my site as HTTP.

    1) How do I get the Contact Form to work under HTTPS?

    2) How do I prevent myself from getting locked out again? Where/What file to edit manually in cPanel so that this problem does not happen again? I can change from HTTP to HTTPS, but I cannot change back without getting locked out and having to force the URL in the WordPress Config file permanently…..I want to remove those lines in my WP Config file, but if I do that, I believe I will get locked out again unless I reinstall the SSL….

  • – Do you have a green padlock in your address bar indicating that you have fully implemented ssl in your site? If not please make sure that you have all your site elements in https to achieve that.

    – Do you have any errors when you do contact form submissions? there might some conflict with caching? Do you still get errors when disabling all plugins and just using CF7 alone?
