Changes in database?

    Does wp-insert perform any changes in the database? I installed this plugin on a wordpress installation where https://blaskan.net/ team is installed. Unfortunately when I activated the plugin it crashed the whole site. I then removed the plugin by deleting the plugin folder in FTP. The site is up and running again, but I tend to get error messages like “Error in establishing a database connection”.

    My question is: is this plugin making any changes in the database? I’ve never had any database problem before so I fear the plugin could still be causing problems for me.

    The plugin does not make any changes to the database. It does add data to the database but uses the wordpress API to do so; hence the plugin wont cause any issues to your database.

    It just did the exact same thing to me: my whole site crashed! I removed it via ftp, I still can’t see the site but my hosting manager says it’s all good now.
    Pretty big bug for such a popular plugin, isn’t it?
