• After updating WordPress to 4.0.1 und the plugin [List Category posts] to it’s most current version, I’m missing the changes I defined in [default.php].
The file is in the plugin’s folder in the child theme folder, as required.
But somehow it does not take effect on the output.
Needed to replace the source with <div>.
These are now gone for the moment.
Any idea where to look for a solution?
    Thanks.

  • Hi, could you explain what you were trying to do with ‘replace the source with <div>’ or could you show a bit of your template file?

Are you using custom fields at all (the behaviour of LCP has changed as regards calls from the default custom template).

    Hi tlueers,

You Should place the default.php file you’ve edited in your (child)theme folder. It should be place in a subfolder called: “list-category-posts”
Then the plugin will pick it up and use it.

Don’t forget to use the “template=yourfilename.php” in the shortcode

PS: You beter make a copy from the original default template in stead of editing it straight away! In this case, if you screw up, you can start from scratch. ??
