Hi, I’ve been using the Monster Insights for several years with no issue. But since a couple of weeks, a symptom appeared on my wordpress blog : after saving a blog post, if I click on the link to display my post, a popup is displayed, telling me that “Changes that you made may not be saved”.

Of course, as I just saved, no changes are lost. But this behaviour is a little bit annoying, since I have this popup each time I close the post editing window.

I’ve investigated the issue. After deactivating/activating all plugins, it appears that it is the monster insights that provokes that behaviour.

    I’m using 8.23.1 together with Wordpres 6.3.2

    Hi @hkabla,

As a quick update, an issue has been opened for our developers to work on a fix. I’m not able to say exactly when a fix will be released, but please know our team is working on resolving it.

As such, I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like for us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!

    Hi @hkabla,

Thanks for waiting! Our team is currently finalizing a major release, and once that’s out, we’ll be focusing on squashing out a few bugs, this particular issue being one of them.

I hope this helps! If I’m able to get a better timeline, I’m happy to let you know, but for now we appreciate your patience while it’s still a work in progress.

Let me know if you have further questions.

    Thank you,

@devmich Has there been any progress on this issue? I’m running WP 6.6.1 and Monster Insights 9.0.1 and have this same exact issue. Thanks!

    Hey @whistlepigsoftworks,

Sorry for missing this! It looks like the fix hasn’t yet been shipped, so I have added your vote to further help expedite this issue.

    Thank you.

@devmich – Any further updates? I think there’s a similar issue reported on another support topic. Also, how is this marked as “Resolved” when the fix hasn’t been released yet?

    Hello?@devmich,

I’ve installed the new plugin version with the fix…, here are the news:

    • good news, the popup message has disappeared, so consider the above problem as fixed
    • bad news, I get two error messages that say (in french) :

L’extension ? monsterinsights-metabox ? a rencontré une erreur et ne peut être affichée.

L’extension ??monsterinsights-headline-analyzer?? a rencontré une erreur et ne peut être affichée.

So the problem is not totally fixed…

    Hi @hkabla,

Thanks for the follow up. I’m sorry for the continuing trouble here.

Out of curiosity, do you have any cache running on your website? Does clearing the cache help resolve the error message?

If you continue to run into the same issues, are you able to provide the following details?

    • WordPress version
    • PHP version
    • Any console errors appearing alongside that error message

    Thank you!
