Hi, The site is a staging copy of a site, however, I had the same issue in production. The site uses Divi. If I update the content of the page and save the changes, I can see them rendering. Then if I go in and update the Yoast SEO Meta Title and/or Description and save those changes and view the page again, the latest changes in content appear to disappear. I have installed WP Activity Log, however, I am not experienced in using it but it is active on the site. Any insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  • Hey @patbirch,

Thank you for using Yoast SEO and for reaching out!

Hmm, this sounds odd. Would you be able to test if:

    • This also happens if you activate the parent Divi theme and not your JoDiMor child theme?
    • If this also happens if only Yoast SEO is active and other plugins are deactivated? You can also use the Health Check plugin’ troubleshooting mode. See: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

Do let us know how that goes.

Hi Jeroen, Thank you for the response! I will create a fresh copy and work in a staging environment and then do as you recommend. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Sounds good, do let us know the results.

Hi Jeroen, I made a fresh copy in staging and activated the Divi theme only – no child theme. All plugins except Yoast are deactivated with the exception of Yoast, WP Activity Log, and WP Activity Log for Yoast SEO. The updating is unstable. I updated Yoast meta data; saved the updates. Went into the page content and updated; saved; viewed in browser. When I go back in, the Yoast changes made previously are gone, and it reverts back to the previous Yoast Meta data. The page I was working on was the /services/cushion-cover-replacements/.

@patbirch I understand the Yoast changes made previously are gone and it revert back to previous Yoast meta data. You tested this with only Divi parent theme and Yoast SEO plugin activated and the issue persist.

While this seems a strange issue, we want more information.
