Changing administration email

the built-in process for changing the admin email relies on a confirmation email being sent to the new email containing a link that must be clicked. if you’re not receiving this email and clicking the link, the change will remain pending.

you can work around this confirmation requirement using a plugin like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/change-admin-email-setting-without-outbound-email/

First, via wp-admin, cancel the outstanding request.

Via your hosting control panel, access PHPMYADMIN. Navigate to the wp_options table and find the row with the key “admin_email”. Edit that row to replace the email address with yours.
