Changing appearance on index page

  • I was trying to change 2 words on my themes front page.

    I was told to change them by the owner of the theme by going into appearance and index when I changed the one word and saved the front page it disappeared.

    Since then he fixed it, but I still want to change those words if I screw it up again How do you fix then index?

    ?????????????= me clueless just deleted all my photos accidentally

    scared to change the 2 words because last time lost everything and don’t have help to fix it if I crash again
