Hi, I searched here for some answers and found some that might help, but I couldn’t get all I was looking for, so hopefully someone can help. I don’t have a specific page or image to show, as this is a project I’m working on and I’m trying to get the site built before I do it.

Why doesn’t the blog colors reflect the website colors? The font colors all stay black when I change my site colors to white. And on pages that show blog entries in lists, the background of those is always white, no matter the background color, and I’ve found nowhere to fix any of this. I started using a CSS visual editor but even that doesn’t help entirely. For instance, if I change the background of one blog post, it doesn’t reflect on all posts, so there’s no universal setting.

Honestly, I’d build my own theme if I knew how, but unfortunately I’m on a deadline and need this done soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    What theme are you using?

    Acquired from?

I’ve had this problem on a dozen or two themes, but currently I’m trying it out on Hendrix, I downloaded it and all the others from the Appearance tab. The CSS Editor I’m using is SiteOrigin CSS. I didn’t include that info because I didn’t think it mattered. Seems like this could be a code fix, but I honestly don’t know THAT much about that stuff. I got out of it decades ago and never went back. But it’s just color management, so again, I thought CSS could handle it.

I recommend asking at https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/hendrix so the theme’s developers and support community can help you with this.

Oh awesome, thank you, seriously! I’ll go talk to them now.

But if I decide to not go with that theme after all, do I have to hunt down each theme’s people to change the colors, or is there a CSS way to do it that will work universally?

I just checked that link and there are three topics posted years ago with no replies.

Looks like that theme has been updated by the theme’s developers for over a year. And has only 100 installs!

May be its time to consider an another theme that’s kept up to date and current by its developers!

Okay, but how do I fix my problem? Or should I go elsewhere for help?

You can wait here and see if someone chimes in. Or post in that theme’s support forum and hope its developers respond.

Yes, it’s a matter of CSS. And the exact CSS will differ from theme to theme.

To add or override CSS: use the “Additional CSS” option in the customizer.? https://codex.www.ads-software.com/CSS#Custom_CSS_in_WordPress
