• I tried this thread about 30 min ago, but I am not seeing it anywhere, so I apologize if this is a repost.

    I currently have a e-commerce site,
    https://www.buyhscconline.com
that is all HTML, but I am not happy with it. I am happy with all of the creativity I see using PHP and wordpress. I want to make the site more pleasing to the eye and easier to navigate and easier to maintain. Is all of this possible using WordPress and PHP??

I have seen some posts for businesses, but I thought that mine might be a little more complicated with all of the product that I have.

    thank you

I just started delving into setting up XAMPP on my system to be able to design my site locally and finding alot of very useful info, of course.

I see a lot about windows use but has anyone out there used the MAC or OSX version with any success??

    Thanks

Well, I found MAMP and have it all set up and working fine, now I get to try to start putting my info into a theme and get it to work.

Now here is the hard part that I have come across. Since this website is going to be for purchasing candles online, each candle has an option of 40+ candle scents available. The question is how to give that option using WP??

the way the site is set up right now in frames, each item has a pull down box listing all of the scents and you click on a scent and then add the item to a Paypal shopping cart.

    (sorry about navigation)
    https://www.buyhscconline.com
click on picture of 3 painted crocks
click on anyone of the individual crocks
you should see a large picture of the crock with a description and then below that is the item number with the scent pull down box, then an “add to cart” button.

nw you see why we need to make a change, there is no direct link to the item

Can pull down menus be done in WP, plug ins perhaps??

    thank you
