• Hej!

I try to change the width of the comment section, but there’re no control options for that.

So, here’s how it looks now.

I have a separate template for posts (because they’re a little bit different from projects custom post type)

So, I open this template… And there’s just no controls for that!

Well, I had a similar question some time before when I tried to edit footer, and I was said that only groups could be adjusted that way. So, let’s transform comments section to a group… And once again the same

I would not attach a screenshot, but transforming to a column also doesn’t get the result.

Any chance to fix that? Or am I doing wrong once again?

Hi @goutm, I’d suggest you take a peek at the default Single Post template in Twenty Twenty-Two, if you haven’t already. There, you’ll see the block structure needed to have alignment (width) options for the Comments block. I also just tested, and this also works if you replace the default Comments block present in that template with the newer Comments Query Loop block.

I don’t have a comment sections there –?since it was a template either for post or projects, and we do not need comments for projects.

And I still can’t get what am I doing wrong…

    Hi @goutm

I understand, that’s why I recommend you take a look at the unmodified default Single Post template that comes with Twenty Twenty-Two.

If you’ve already modified this template on your site, you can take a peek at an unmodified copy on another site where you haven’t made any changes to the template.

This will let you look at it side-by-side with the custom/modified template where you’re having trouble, so you can spot the differences.
