Changing default layout

When viewing doamin.com/events there is a full month calendar view. I understand there is a way to create shortcodes to customize the design/layout. But, it isn’t possible to load such a layout at /events. Only on other pages that we create.

So, is there any setting to change the events page layout, such as to grid, agenda, etc.
