Changing directory and changing URI

  • RIght now I have a wordpress site installed in my main directory. It looks like public_html/programming. I bought a new domain, so to clean my directories up I would like to move the wordpress site from pubic_html/programming to just /programmingfor.us. How do I go about doing this?

    I believe I need to change the path inside the database, but maybe I just need to change the URI inside the Settings tab before I move it. I’m guessing there’s a decent amount more to do.
