I’ve tried to get support on jetpack.com but it’s proving impossible. Your chatbot keeps sending me to links that either don’t work, or insist I login. So I login and it sends me back to the page saying I’m not logged in. So I’m posting here.

Problem: My client has decided to go back to their old domain name, so I need to change the domain that VideoPress is connected to. The (paid) VideoPress subscription shows as a purchase for the new domain, but there is no way to repoint it to the old domain. Support says I need to contact you to change it, but the contact support page just keeps sending me in circles saying I’m not logged in. Both the old domain and the new domain are in my wordpress.com account.

Hoping that an actual human being can answer this. Please don’t just send me to the contact support page as it’s an endless circle of login/go to support/get asked to login etc.

    Thanks

  • Hello there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Can you tell us the names of the new and old URLs, so we can check on our side?

    Thanks,

Hi, I did manage to get a contact form working in the end, and submitted a support request but I haven’t heard back from the ‘happiness engineers’ yet. I’d prefer to send URLs privately if possible. The issue, I think, is that the site I want to unhook from is now a redirect, so WordPress.com isn’t seeing it. If we have to we’ll just cancel and re-sub, but would prefer to just switch if possible as there are still a couple of months left on the subsciption.

    Thanks!

Hi @sarahap, if I’m not mistaken, you were able to get the issue solved through the direct support, is that correct? If so, feel free to set this thread as resolved.
