Changing Header Image

The ad image in header is here:

To change the wording – admin – Settings – top line.

For the other, you will need to look in theme’s style.css

I dont want to put in ad image .I want to change the dark gray banner with another image .

I have no clue how to read the CSS file . This is the part taht may be relevant :

height:88px;
width:960px;
padding-left:0px;
padding-top:20px;
clear:both;
margin:auto;
text-align:left;
background-image:url(images/header.png);
}

So what do I do with it ?

The ad image ? You want to replace that with one of your own ?
If so, make your image the same size as the image you are replacing.

Change the name of this image file to something else (adold.gif maybe). Rename your newly created one to “ad.gif” and uplooad it to above location. Theme will call it like the old one.

I am not touching the AD image yet .

I have one header banner which is dark gray . I want to change it to my image . Or at least change another color .

I changed the image here https://mycafepressgiftshop.com/ . Just need to resize it .

Now I want to do more and would appreciate your help :

1.00 How do I change the dark gray color band with the words ” home , contact etc … ” ?

2.00 How to change sidebar color ?

3.00 To remove the 468 x 60 advertising spot in the header banner ?

Sorry I am asking a lot . But I had gone thu hundreds of other themes and this is the only one I like .
