Changing in Yoast SEO settings resulting in 404 pages

You mentioned that changing certain settings in the Yoast SEO plugin results in 404 pages, and that it’s a potential conflict between Yoast SEO, BBPress, and WooCommerce.

Can you confirm you are using the latest version of WordPress 5.5.1, Yoast SEO for WordPress 15.1.2, and the latest versions of the rest of your non-Yoast plugins and themes?

Could you provide us with more details and steps (please do include screenshots) with more information on the specific setting in the plugin you’re changing that results in the 404 errors?

Changing settings like tracking Users data breaks it.
Please check the screenshot of setting when I change results in 404 error. This is happening from past 4-6 years and it was not bothering much as by just deactivation and activation of plugin it used to work. But now I need some solution for this case.

– Do you mean the issue 404 page not found issue appears only when Yoast SEO ( Tracking User data setting enable) + BBPress + WooCommerce is activated?

– When you switch to a default theme like TwentyTwenty with the above sequence, do you still see this error?

– Does 404 error appear for all pages, posts, or just products?

– Can you reconfirm you’ve all non-Yoast plugins, theme, and WordPress all up-to-date?

– Do you see any JavaScript errors on your browser console? If you see any, can you please write to us what they are?

I have just given you an example of setting if I change it breaks the website.

Does 404 error appear for all pages, posts, or just products?

No just main shoopping list page, and all bbpress forum threads.

Can you reconfirm you’ve all non-Yoast plugins, theme, and WordPress all up-to-date?

Yes I can confirm all the plugins and worpress are running latest versions.

Do you see any JavaScript errors on your browser console? If you see any, can you please write to us what they are?

No, I can’t see any error.

Is there an issue with rewrite rules that Yoast SEO changes by any chance?

On our test site, with WordPress 5.5.1, and the default TwentyTwenty theme enabled, and Yoast SEO 15.1.1, WooCommerce 13.6, and bbPress 2.6.5 as the plugins enabled, we then switched the toggle for usage tracking from on to off and vice versa, and it didn’t result in any 404 pages or any other errors. It might be something in your setup as we’re not aware of any rewrite rules in Yoast SEO or in enabling or disabling features that could cause any issues with your website.

Is there any way to debug the changes does by YOAST SEO which results into such issue? Any idea why deactivating and activating YOAST SEO results in resolving the issue?
