Changing links color

Hi,

I’m using Accesspress Lite, and i would like to change color on some links (all of them except the titles and navigation links). I tried to put this in the style.css file :

a
{
color: red;
}

But it’s not working. The weird thing though, is that if I use the same code in the Custom CSS option (in Theme Options / Tools), it’s working.

My question is : How can i modify the colors of my links directly in the style.css file, without using the Custom CSS option ?

I hope someone will be able to help me ??
