Changing Member Level

Some members are now Board Members which means their membership is half the price of regular membership.

Here is my problem. Membership is a 12 month cycle from when one signs up. Thus, if one becomes a member in May 2012, their membership ends in May 2013.

In March, some several members became Board members. However, they don’t need to pay for membership at this time. Yet, when their membership ends in, for example, May 2013 they will need to renew their membership.

In the meantime, I want to change their membership level to reflect their new level. If I change their membership level, as the administrator, I get a message that says their membership is free.

Here is my question. Will a Board member, who became a member in May 2012, receive an email asking them to renew their membership although I changed their level in March 2013 but I left their renewal date as May 2013?
