• Will changing a published blog post’s meta title mess with SEO, Google Indexing, or my URL at all?

I want to change all of my meta titles from “Title – Website Name” to “Title – My Name.”

  • Hi
No worries Sir! As long as the title is SEO friendly; the content is original and legit, Everything should be just fine. Your link structure won’t change, because upon publishing a post, your url is generated then and won’t change unless you change it manually.
    Good Day,

    kingdomhorizon,

My understanding is that the meta title for each post/page should match the keyword for the post/page. Example, I have a page called “About WordPress”. The meta title should match that for optimal SEO benefit.

Well what I’m looking to do is this:

Current Meta Title: About Us | Kingdom Horizon

New Meta Title: About Us | Jesse Scott

    URL would stay the same.

I just don’t want to mess up anything else.

I would just suggest downloading the Yoast SEO plugin and following its guidelines for an SEO-friendly site. It gives you control over meta, google search description, etc.
