• I have downloaded WordPress Post Tabs for my site here

I want to create a tabbed navigation so that the tabs open up horizontal menus rather than content (disabling my dropdown menu). So I want to create tabs that reveal the appropriate divs (the horizontal navbars).

I can’t seem to get these working then so that I have normal content in each tab in the form of a navbar. The tricky part is telling WordPress to default a tab open versus the other based on if the user is in the student or teacher part of your site.

    Any thoughts?

  • Hi there,

Can you please send the URL where you have embedded tabs and send the screenshot/image/visual of the scenario in which you are facing problem/your requirement?

Instead of having a drop down menu for both the teacher and student tabs, I would like those to only be clickable links. When the user clicks on the teacher tab for example the the subcategories that normally would appear on the drop down menu I want to appear horizontally across the primary navigation bar. I do not have a screenshot of what I wanted to look like because I can’t seem to find a good example.

    Any ideas?

Thanks for sharing the expectations with so much details.

The premium version of WordPress Post Tabs plugin comes with ‘Nested Tabs’ as well as ‘Active Tab’ options. I hope these two options will be useful for you in achieving the expected result.

Nested Tab – It is like set of tabs inside one tab. You can have any level of nested (looks like sub-tab) in either one, two or all the tabs. Demo of nested tab is available on the Pro page (link below)

Active Tab – In the tab shortcode, you can pass a parameter to keep any specific tab open as per your choice. So by default, that particular tab will remain open. There is also an option to keep all the tabs collapsed by default.

Please take a look at the premium version of Post Tabs plugin and let me know your thoughts.

Thank you for the plugin link. This may sound like a simple question, but how do I get the plugin to work? I’ve activated the plugin and allowed it on each page, but I don’t see any difference. I’ve adjusted the settings of the plugin but no difference. It is like nothing has changed.

Thank you for being so patient.
