Changing of Endpoing

    My side had be using the default endpoint that is a number. I want to change to use a name. Is it possible easily link the old number and the name of downloads without breaking all the existing links?

    Second question, if using names/titles for the links is chosen, is there a way to change the link text after the initial creation of the download (similar to the way the permalink on a WordPress page is possible)?

    After more digging I found a thread on how to change the slug. Thank you. BUT, is there an easy way, for existing downloads, to have the old ID redirect to the new slug? I know I can go through and manually change the new custom slug to be the old ID but I am hoping there might be a faster way to redirect.

    Thanks for reaching out to us and I’m glad you found the solution.

    I regret to say automated redirect is not possible when you change the endpoint. You will need to use some 3rd party plugin to set the rules.
