Changing permalink and its effect on bookmarks

    I may be showing my noob here, but if I change my site links from the default ‘mysite.com/pageid=42′ sort of thing, to the conventional /mysite.com/pagename’, will this invalidate any previously done bookmarks by users and link backs, etc?
