Google and other search engines don’t care about the URLs. The URL is simply irrelevant to modern search engines. Having proper semantic content and quality markup that validates is so much more important than the URL that it’s not even worth considering what the URL looks like. Not for SEO purposes.

In the specific case of Google, however, you can use a Google Sitemaps plugin to ensure that Google knows the correct URLs of all your pages, even if they change. You’ll also want to sign up to Google Webmaster Tools and claim your site: https://www.google.com/webmasters/
