• I am having difficulty with my Permalinks. I changed the default option from generating the page number to generating a permalink with the title of the post, and now when I publish a post or page I cannot open up the page, instead I get (where introduction is the name of the post):

    Not Found

The requested URL /wordpress/introduction/ was not found on this server.

And I cannot get back to generating a post with the page number, although my preference is to generate a post with the title.

    Please help.

Yes, I changed it to that, so when the permalink is generated it is generated with the name, instead of the page number, but when I click on the link to open the page is says the page is not found on the server.

what type of server you using is it linux or window if it is linux check with your host if they have mod_rewrite on

with window server its known that has problem with permalinks.

I am using my localhost on my computer.

I am not that familiar with localhost but to have permalinks working you need to have apache installed and have mod_rewrite on

I have apache installed, how do I have the mod_rewrite on? What file in my apache do I change?
