Changing podcast title in settings is not reflected in the feed

    Hi there!

    We’re trying to help a customer update the title of a podcast with the plugin, but we’re not getting the expected results.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. We go to /wp-admin/admin.php?page=powerpressadmin_basic
    2. Click “Feeds”
    3. Click “Feed Settings”
    4. We change the “Feed Title” to “Swallow Your Pride Podcast”
    5. When we load the feed (/feed/podcast), even after busting and clearing the page/object cache, the <title> tag does not update.

    Is this a bug, or are we changing the title in the incorrect place?

    What is the feed address?

    Did you clear the cache on the site?

    Hi Mike,

    The feed URL is https://www.mobiledysphagiadiagnostics.com/feed/podcast/

    And yes, we have cleared the cache many times (all types of object caching).

    When I load the feed, the title comes up as:
    Podcast | Mobile FEES | Dysphagia Diagnostics & Swallow Studies

    What do you want the title to be?

    Hi,

    I referenced this in the initial post:

    We change the “Feed Title” to “Swallow Your Pride Podcast”

    We’d like to see the title be “Swallow Your Pride Podcast”. However, for some reason, when we save that new title and clear all of the caches, it does not update.

    Have you all seen this before? Thanks for your help!

    You contacted me directly and we have a email chain with your web host going. They are looking into it.

    Most of the time, we find that it’s another Plugin or your theme that changes feed titles. Work with your web host to see what is causing it to change. PowerPress’ feed title box is where you change it if something else hasn’t taken over that function.
