Changing post content color

    I am trying to change the text color for my blog posts (all blog posts) but nothing is changing. I have tried the following three methods:

    1. Appearance>Customize>Colors>Text Color
    2. Appearance>Customize>Header, Footer, Templates, Pages>Single Template> Post holder content
    3. Pagelayer>Website Settings>Content Style

    I would like to change text color to black from the current default gray color.

    I changed my background settings and somehow the font color became black as I had earlier desired. Thanks a lot for your time.
